Week 3 Guildford Peloton Challenge

 
David to All - Michael wins the stage, taking full advantage of the better weather conditions in Scotland (how often can we say that?). Steve still out in front in the race for the overall.

 Duncan S - The plan was that I might get two 40 mile rides in this weekend which would move me up the Strava Challenge, however, best laid plans etc, looks like I am going to struggle. I thought I would be able to get a trip in to my brothers at Hindhead going over Leith Hill and Newlands Corner to get in the climb, then the next day a ride back. Now it looks like Saturday I will be on taxi duty taking my son to a Yugioh contest in Camberley and hanging around for 4 hours and Sunday it looks like rain. Foiled again
 
Steve W - Having got into the habit of cycling to work, and taking a longer than direct route to get there, I’ve been frustrated by a complete absence of any time in the saddle since last Friday. Several visits to the gym just aren’t the same. I was hoping that tomorrow I’d be able to partake in a regular club run, but if the forecast is accurate I’ll be in the gym again.  So, I’m not doing anything to extend my lead! Cheers,
 

David to Steve - Steve - if you promise not to ride I might just be tempted to go out on the MTB with snow tires and do a 60 miler to grab first place …on second thoughts maybe not !!

 
Steve to David - I don’t have a MTB, and having come off my bike on ice when I did ride it on Friday 18^th. I’m being a little more cautious, so if there’s snow tonight then I promise not to ride tomorrow. I’ve just checked the forecast again for the morning though and it’s now saying rain, so I might just get a ride in tomorrow…Good luck if you do go out.
 
Craig to All - Well, as the US government has seen fit to issue me with a visa (due to be delivered on Monday!), I'm going to California, where I should be able to ride in much more reliably and blow you all away... Or maybe that is wishful thinking that I'll actually be able to ride much once I get there. I will try though...
 
Steve to Craig - That’s fighting talk! You’re going to be much too busy in the new job to blow us away. As soon as the snow disappears from MK, then you’ve no chance.
